Dwelling Place’s Community Land Trust (CLT) program helps keep housing affordable by purchasing and holding land in trust.
Instead of selling the land itself, Dwelling Place sells homes on that land to ensure long-term affordability for homeowners. By keeping ownership of the land, Dwelling Place can prevent sudden price increases, making homeownership possible for more people.
A board of residents, community members, and Dwelling Place representatives oversees the CLT to ensure it serves the community’s needs both now and in the future.
